Placed on building in Utrecht, Holland in which COHRE was established

18 June 2008 - Utrecht, Holland: A new plaque commemorating the founding of the Centre on Housing Rights and Evictions - COHRE - has been placed on the building in Utrecht, Holland in which the organisation was established by Founder Scott Leckie in the early 1990s. COHRE was set up on an informal basis in October 1991, and then registered as a not-for-profit Foundation or Stichting with the Utrecht Chamber of Commerce in 1994.

The inaugural Board of Directors consisted of Prof Cees Flinterman (Chairperson), Prof John Packer (Treasurer, now COHRE's Chairperson) and Prof Aart Hendriks (Secretary).

For those who might wish to view the plaque in situ, the building is a residential house located at Havikstraat 38bis, Utrecht.
