Advisory Group on Forced Evictions
(AGFE)

COHRE is one of the founding members of the Advisory Group on Forced Evictions (AGFE). Established at the request of the Governing Council of UN-HABITAT, AGFE is made up of representatives from civil society, local authorities, central government and professionals who all contribute their knowledge and experience in the fields of urban development, community participation, human rights and forced evictions. AGFE members collect information on forced evictions, as well as success stories of averted evictions and the different tools that can be used to deal with evictions. AGFE then advises the Executive Director of UN-HABITAT on ways to address the problem of forced evictions.
